The Brazos Pro SX is built for speed to the X-treme power and tuned for 100% reliability.  This short, light pistol handles like a limited gun and shoots flat as a hybrid, all without the blast towards your face. The reduced weight makes it an extremely fast handling gun for shooting on the move and coming into shooting positions.  You will also get faster draws and quicker reloads.  With a fully loaded magazine it balances equally when held just under the trigger – a neutral handling gun that not only points where you want it to but shoots soft.

The Brazos Pro SX is a true custom Open Division pistol built to your specifications.  Bob spends time with you discussing your particular needs in a gun and to determine the specs that best fit your individual shooting ability and style. A comprehensive build list for your individual gun is completed at that time of order. He will also get a print of your shooting hand to use as the basis for fitting the gun to you.  This custom fitting will alleviate pressure points and enable you to get a stronger, higher grip on the pistol to let you better control recoil and improve accuracy. Since this firearm is highly customized there will be a longer wait and build time.

  • Brazos Modular Double Stack (MDS) short/wide frame
     

Slide: 

  • Shortened Brazos Lightning classic slide (4.5 inch) with ZigRacker

  • Flat-topped and serrated with iconic Brazos slide lightning (oblong holes in the front and Bullet cocking serrations in the back)

  • Slide fit to frame with minimum clearance
     

Barrel/Comp: 

  • Custom, shortened Bar-Sto one-piece barrel/comp

  • Pro SX compensator cuts available with or without additional V-Ports

  • Optional Poppleholes at no extra charge

  • Chamber freebored for loads up to 1.25 OAL

  • Barrel crown custom cut

  • Barrel ramp angle cut for most reliable feeding
     

Grip: 

  • Cheely steel grip/magwell - This grip has a "pinned" beavetail that does not provide any safety function.

  • Aggressive version of grip available at no extra charge.

  • Choice of black Diamond Like Coating (DLC) or silver chrome plate finish

  • Grip uncoated stainless steel

  • Thumb safety, beavertail, and barrel silver (uncoated) stainless steel

All Brazos guns are built exclusively by Bob – no assembly line and no junior/trainee gunsmith working on your pistol.  We use only top quality parts that are hand-fitted and hand tuned to ensure maximum performance and reliability. We manufacture many parts in-house or have them made to our specs by industry leaders.  At the end of the build process each gun is test fired for function and accuracy.  Bob test fires your gun prior to coating and then again after coating.  As a part of the final (after coating) test fire, he sights the gun in so that it is ready to go out of the box.
